Most people I know are working in an office somewhere. Team meetings, projects, goals, and accomplishments. Then comes team outings, office parties, and the list goes on. Basically it's PEOPLE. People is good.

I'm jealous. Jealous of those who seem to be working on cool stuff (who cares about the ones sweating it out for some commercial bank).

Working on your own time has its benefits. It's allowing me to plan my day around my newest personal project -- knitting a blankie for my best friend's soon-to-arrive baby. I don't have to toe the line because my boss might look over my shoulder any minute. However, seeing external faces everyday is a requirement. By external I mean outside your home, i.e. mom, dad, brother, etc.

I realize this slowly.

Come work for Frost and Sullivan...the coolest crowd ever. Yups, I agree it is bery bery important to meet new people...I don't ever miss the office parties and picnics etc. but it will be really hard to miss my eleven o clock and three o clock breaks, where I get to meet some fun kids. Best of luck with the blanket...I hope it comes out well.
